ABOUT DEFIANCE

Defiance HC is a hardcore punk band from Stuttgart, Germany, founded in early 2024. The band was initiated as a project by friends Robin Khorrami (guitar), Sabrina Chaparro (vocals), and Marlene Feller (bass guitar). A few months later, drummer Daniel Knöpfler completed the lineup.

The members share a passion for creating music with a strong social message. Defiance HC focuses on addressing social (in-)justice, specifically the oppression of women, the LGBTQIA+ community and all forms of discrimination. In addition to their music, the band actively promotes female empowerment and aims to inspire more women to claim their space in the hardcore and punk scene. This mission is central to the band’s identity and is reflected in their lyrics, presence, and actions within the community.
In July 2024, Defiance HC played their debut show at Juha West in Stuttgart, followed by several additional performances around Germany and Switzerland where they were able to build a first reputation as a powerful live band.

In late 2024, the band self-recorded their first EP (mix and master by 1408 productions), which will be released in spring 2025 under the label BDHW. Through their music and advocacy, Defiance HC continues to establish itself as a voice for inclusivity, empowerment, and resistance within the hardcore punk scene.
